Luicana Miller

Luciana Miller learned to row as a freshman in college, where she continued to be involved until her graduation in 2021. In her time at Northwestern Crew, Miller won gold at club nationals and was president of the student-run organization in her senior year. Miller works as a design researcher, and she is passionate about expanding the sport of rowing to be a more diverse, inclusive place for rowers and coxswains of all backgrounds.

Charles Richardson

Charles's experience spans 18 years across Illinois & Ohio coaching juniors and masters clubs including Shaker Heights HS, New Trier HS, North Suburban Crew, Lincoln Park Boat Club, Western Reserve Rowing and others.  Charles’ boats have consistently made grand finals at attended regattas, including medaling 6 times @ SRRAA. Charles learned to row in high school and not college, but reunited with the sport as a master’s rower in Boston and later Chicago. 

Jackson Lifford

Jackson started rowing in high school in Boston where he competed for 4 years with Buckingham Browne and Nichols. After transferring to Northwestern, he joined their club team until he graduated in 2022. During senior year, Jackson was the Equipment Chair on the team's student-run executive board and rowed in the Men's Varsity 4+, medaling at state and regional championships. He's excited to share his love for  rowing and to help make the sport more diverse.

Jake LaPress

Jake LaPres began rowing during his senior year of high school at Orchard Lake St. Mary's. After a brief hiatus, LaPres joined Northwestern Crew his sophomore year at the university. As an upperclassman, he sat in stroke of the Varsity 8+ and 4+, and he served as the men's captain for his last season, 2019-2020. LaPres looks to pass on his passion and competitive nature to the next generation of athletes.

Alex Yezbick

Alex started rowing in his freshman year of high school in St. Louis. Alex rowed during all four years of high school, helping his team win the Midwest Regional Boys’ points championship in 2022. Currently a member of Northwestern Crew, Alex has served as Men’s Novice Rep and Recruitment Chair. Alex is excited to help foster a competitive culture with ETHS, and pass his love of rowing on to new athletes

Hillary Caldwell

Hillary started rowing her freshman year of high school at Sidwell Friends. In her senior season, she was recruited to row at UCLA, where she was a 4-year varsity athlete. While at UCLA, she helped lead the team to multiple appearances at the NCAA championships. After graduating in 2013, she became head Novice girls' coach for Wilson High School in Washington, DC, from 2014-2018. In that time, the Novice girls were two-time WMIRA Champions in 2016 and 2017. 

Alexander Jimenez

Alexander Jimenez has been rowing since his freshman year of high school, first competing for Crystal Lake Rowing Club. While continuing rowing at Northwestern University, he served as Men’s Team Captain and was selected to the All-American Third Team his senior year. Alexander is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive environment for rowers and coxswains to develop as athletes, teammates, and leaders.

Magda Vidal

Magda started sculling in her freshman year of high school in Virginia, and went on to win nationals in the Women’s 4x event. Since then, Magda has coached and competed in every boat class with clubs in Virginia, Seattle, and Vermont. Most recently, Magda served as the Fleet Manager at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center where she deepened her knowledge of rigging and boat construction. Magda looks forward to helping youth athletes from various backgrounds call forward their own passion and potential.

Adam DiPasquale

Adam started rowing in his freshman year of high school for Chicago Rowing Foundation. He started with rowing in 8+s, but spent most of his high school career rowing small boats. Adam is now a senior rowing for Northwestern, where he has served as Men’s Novice Rep, Safety Chair, and currently serves as Racing Coordinator. Adam looks forward to helping athletes build a strong, tight-knit team community.

Evan Miller

Evan learned to row as a sophomore at the Taft School. Following his high school career, he was recruited to row at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from where he graduated in 2019 and 2020. During his time on the Badger’s rowing team, he served as the team captain for the 2019-2020 season and sat in the 7-seat of the Varsity 8+. Miller works in asset management and is excited to share his love of the sport through coaching.

Phil Bogdanov

Phil started his rowing career over 10 years ago, sculling in both middle and high school. He went on to be a National Champion in the 4x with Maritime Rowing Club (Connecticut). He then rowed 4 years for the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Pia Cruzalegui

Pia is a first year assistant coach. Her athletic history begins in track and field (long jump,  javelin throw, relay). Competitively, she has played field hockey and cycling. As an  amateur she enjoys tennis, racquetball, boating, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and strengthening. Pia is an advocate for multilingualism, promoting culture through experiences, language, and sports.

Henry Roberts

Henry started rowing senior year of high school through Row New Jersey. Less than a month after learning how to row, he was recruited to the University of Wisconsin, where he graduated from in 2020. As an upperclassman, he sat in the stroke of the 2V8+. Roberts is looking forward to sharing his love and passion for the sport of rowing and helping students discover some of life's greatest lessons along the way.

Parker Hong

Parker started rowing in 7th grade for the Chicago Rowing Foundation, where he won Midwest Regional Championships in the Novice 8+, U17 8+, 3rd Varsity 8+, and Varsity 4- during his high school career. He currently rows for Northwestern University, where he served as the Recruitment Chair his sophomore year and is the current Men’s Team Captain. Parker looks forward to sharing the sport with other athletes and helping them become their best selves on and off the water.
