ETHS Rowing Shows Depth and Momentum at Mitten Series 1 Regatta

ETHS Rowing turned in a strong, full-team performance this weekend at the Mitten Series 1, competing against some of the top programs in the Midwest. From early morning time trials through afternoon finals, Evanston crews consistently advanced and stayed competitive across a wide range of events highlighting the continued growth, depth, and momentum of the program.

The standout story of the day came from the novice squad, which continues to deliver results early in the season. After entering the Women’s Novice 4+ as the top seed out of time trials, the crew backed it up with a 2nd place finish in the final, while the Women’s Novice 8+ added a 3rd place finish against a strong field. Shout out also to Cayden and Izzy who jumped in a double and got 3rd place overall.

Beyond the podium finishes, the broader takeaway is clear, this is not a one-boat program. Evanston showed true depth across novice, junior, and varsity levels, with multiple crews advancing through heats and semis and competing in fast finals races.
