Wildkits Take on the Blake Haxton Fall Regatta!
Wildkits Take on the Blake Haxton Fall Regatta!

The fall racing season is heating up, and ETHS Rowing is hitting the road! This weekend, a select group of our top varsity and novice crews will head to the Blake Haxton Fall Regatta for another exciting weekend of competition.
Coming off strong performances at Head of the Rock and Head of the DRC, including a first-place finish for our Girls Varsity 8+ and a close third-place finish for our Boys Varsity 8+, the Wildkits are building some serious momentum.
Blake Haxton is another opportunity for our athletes to test themselves against strong regional competition, gain valuable racing experience, and see how their hard work stacks up as the fall season progresses.

The regatta takes place Saturday, October 24, on Griggs Reservoir along the Scioto River in Columbus, Ohio. Hosted by Upper Arlington Crew, it has grown into Ohio's largest fall rowing event, bringing together more than 1,700 young athletes from school and club programs across the Midwest.
The event also has a special story behind it. Named in honor of Blake Haxton, an Upper Arlington Crew alumnus and Paralympic rower who overcame a life-threatening illness, the regatta celebrates determination, resilience, and the spirit of rowing.
For ETHS, Blake Haxton marks the final competition of the fall season and a chance for our crews to face some of the region's strongest programs. It's an exciting opportunity to finish the season on a high note and see just how far our Wildkits have come.
Good luck to our athletes and coaches making the trip to Columbus. Let's finish strong! Go Kits!
