Girls Varsity 8+ Takes First, Boys Varsity 8+ Finishes Just Seconds Behind the Leaders!
ETHS Rowing was back on the water for another exciting weekend of fall racing at Head of the DRC. Coming off a strong showing at Head of the Rock, our Wildkits faced familiar Chicagoland rivals along with crews from Michigan, delivering some exciting finishes and valuable racing experience across our varsity and novice squads.
The highlight of the day belonged to our Girls Varsity 8+, who powered their way to first place with a time of 19:08.96, finishing more than 10 seconds ahead of Northville and over a minute ahead of New Trier's top boat!
Our Boys Varsity 8+ delivered another standout performance, finishing third out of 12 crews in an incredibly competitive race. Their time of 16:47.84 put them just 8.7 seconds behind first-place New Trier and only 3.6 seconds behind Northville. That's some tight racing!
Our novice crews continued gaining valuable experience, with the Boys Novice 8+ earning a third-place finish and the Girls Novice 4+ taking fourth.
